I have just recently purchased my first Shiba, from Doug and Alison from Daven's Acres.
I have named my puppy DAVEN’s Riki Tiki Tavi. I call him Tavi.
I am hoping to show Tavi throughout this year. I am really excited because I have been to many shows with Doug and Alison, but as a spectator. Tavi will be the first
dog I have shown, and with the assistance and guidance provided by both Doug and Alison I am truly looking forward to showing Tavi.

My parents Dan and Kathy Keller have also purchased a puppy from Daven's. Ewoka is a cute little Pomeranian.
Ewoka loves to go for car rides and play in the snow.

If you have any question about your dog or showing I strongly recommend contacting Daven's Acres. Daven's professionalism and kindness matched by their
knowledge and love for their dogs sets them above all other kennels for Shibas, Akitas, Pomeranians and American Eskimos. The kennel for Daven's is more than a
business, the dogs are more than just a commodity, they are a part of the family. A dog from Daven's acres will make your home and self more complete.

Thank You Doug and Alison for all your help. I am looking forward to working with you in the future.

Hi guys, Lexi is doing great!

She's grown up into a pretty 80 lb dog. She comes to work with me most days of the week and she gets along very well with other dogs.

Here are some pictures of her over the last year.

Thank you again. - Paul H. Mertz III

My wife and I bought two adult Shiba Inus (Male & Female) from Doug and Alison, and it was a pleasure doing business with them, as they are truly professional individuals, who breed, raise and show high quality Shiba Inus. The Shibas, that we bought, descend from the Oikawa House, known to many on the East coast as "Chibi," the sire of our male's great-grandsire and our female's gr-gr-gransire, along with the bloodlines of many other famous kennels. It should also be mentioned that: (1) Your questions will be answered honestly and quickly. (2) Make no mistake; you will receive an excellent bred and healthy pup, at a very reasonable price. I can make that statement, based on our experience and research with many other Shiba Inu Kennels all across these United States. Simply put, and in closing, we feel that with the addition of these two jewels, we have upgraded our kennel another star or two.

After having 2 very bad experiences with flying puppies in from around the US, I had my qualms about doing it again. However I found THE dog I have wanted my entire life.

I spent endless hours on the phone with Doug and his wife who did everything in their power to assure me that it wouldn't happen with them. I was still a little
apprehensive because I had essentially lost over 2 grand on bad pups before. They were so good to me. They micro chipped my pup before sending her, took her to 2 different vets who did a health check and a personality eval. just for me. I wanted to be assured that she was a happy well loved and socialized puppy. As any Akita owner knows they are very sensitive and bad memories don't fade away quickly for them.

Well the day finally came and Doug called me every time my baby crossed over a major city, which was like once an hour !! He was just so dedicated to helping me feel good about the transaction. I drove over 3 hours to get her from the airport. She was a little frazzled from the flight but I always am too! She came out with some coaxing and after a baby wipe bath was ready to lick us to death. She rode home perfectly and peed as soon as we arrived. She spent the night in the house first nite and waited until morning to wake me to go out. She took her first bath was such ease, just laid down and enjoyed the warm water. She let me dry her and groom her with no problem. She took a few hours to acclimate to the leash thing but my 4 year old took care of that and then she was good to go. Then next day I took her to the dog
park and boy was she a happy dog! She missed all her doggie family I think. So I have made it a point to take her every couple days and play in and outside with her and she is just the sweetest most beautiful baby. I couldn't have gotten more.

You definetly get what you pay for. Quality is not expensive it is priceless and anymore very hard to come by!!!

Thank you Doug & Alison for helping my dreams come true. I promise she will have the best home she could ever have with us.

We have been wanting to send you a picture. Tallulah is doing great.

She is a little spit fire! Tullie doesn't always listen, so I thinking about bringing her to obedience school. We don't want her to run in the road and whenever you try to get her to come, she thinks you are playing a chase game.

We all love her to death, including Jake, our other Pom. Her and Jake are great buddies as you will see in the pictures.
Best wishes in you're new facility and on you're renovations!

Alison and Doug

Just wanted to give you an update on Nikki. She is doing well and is up to 10lbs. Nikki is house broken and crate trained. She loves to go for rides in the car. Every night she falls asleep on one of our laps and we then put her to bed. Nikki and our cat are not the best of friends, they stare at each other and then the cat gets tired and starts to hiss at Nikki. They mostly stay to themselves. Enclosed is a picture form last week, she is so beautiful.

Experienced, top quality breeders...

Alison and Doug of Daven's Acres have proved to me to be professional and extremely helpful when it comes to dog breeding. Their expertise is a result of over 20 years of experience in the field. Their dogs are well cared for and very good quality. I particularly took a liking to Daven's because of the initiatives they take to help a client to enjoy the full experience of buying a puppy. They were always happy to help out by answering questions and making arrangements. In fact, they welcome any person who is suitable for raising a dog and who is concerned with it's well being. In my case, they were the only breeders who helped me out because I do not live in the US and transport arrangements were much more difficult. Nonetheless, I found service with a smile. Highly recommended - whether dogs are your life or whether you're a newcomer.
